Telehealth or Telephone Consultations with our Surgeons:

Payment will be processed before your consultation of fewer than 15 minutes duration. Further consultations will need to be scheduled if more time is needed rather than a longer phone call to respect other patient’s bookings.

Please provide the Zambian phone number you wish to be called on.

You agree to these terms and conditions by requesting a telehealth or telephone consultation.

There are limitations to telehealth and telephone consultations. Due to the nature of your problem, a further face-to-face consultation may be recommended for examination, to perform tests (e.g. flow rates, bladder scans), or for other reasons.

Following your consultation pathology and radiology requests and prescriptions can be posted to you, faxed (or collected).  A chemist requires the original prescriptions, not email or fax. Prescriptions can not be sent to patients electronically.  If faxed directly to a chemist the chemist will dispense this prior to receiving the paper copy in the post from us.  You will need to provide us with the fax number of your chemist.

Medicare does not allow us to provide Telehealth and telephone services if you are in a hospital or emergency department.

Telehealth or Telephone consultations with our continence GPs:

Referrals are not a requirement for GP consults.

Further consultations may need to be scheduled if more time is needed rather than a longer phone call to respect other patient’s bookings.  Otherwise, if the phone call is of at least 20 minutes duration further payment will be required.

If you are unwell with viral symptoms please reschedule your appointment and contact your GP or medical clinic.

Social distancing reduces the transmission of COVID-19 in our community.
We have increased cleaning procedures in our practice.
Stay at home if you are unwell or have viral symptoms, or you have been in close contact with someone with COVID-19, or directed to quarantine or seek testing, or you have returned from overseas in the last 14 days or have been in close contact with someone who has returned from overseas in the last 14 days a

COVID-19 symptoms include fever, cough (usually dry), sore throat, fatigue, shortness of breath.
If attending our practice we ask when you enter our practice that you use hand sanitisers at the hospital entrance and our reception desk when you check-in.
Please maintain where possible a 1.5-metre distance from staff and other patients.
To assist with this we have removed some of the chairs from our waiting rooms.  We have removed all magazines and toys from our waiting rooms as the virus can be transmitted from surfaces.
